About Travis King
Like most people I had art through elementary school and junior high. When I got to high school, I took one semester of art and
dropped out because the art teacher was a prick. He was later forced to resign for being an alcoholic (no, I'm not bitter!).
I decided to... expand my mind... and go to college. I attended Purdue University (for those of you who have never heard of that school, it's in Indiana... need I say more?),
where I majored in Mathematics. After one semester I realized college sucks, so I dropped out.
I went on to odd jobs such as, radio sales, dish washer, broiler cook, server, gas station attendant, and gas station manager.
I went through all of these jobs within a period of a year.
During this time I taught myself to airbrush. In 1992, I became a professional airbrush artist. I traveled flea markets and festivals
until 1993 when I began to work in the mall. In 1996 I decided to start my own airbrush business, which was known as King Air Airbrushing.
Later that year, I came to the conclusion that I was too lazy to own my own business and joined forces with a shop called Razz-matazz in Clarksville, IN.
Finally, in 1997, I left airbrushing to apprentice at a Southern Indiana shop.
A bit over two years later I changed locations and started working at a shop in Louisville, Kentucky, by the name of Body Art Emporium.
